About Memphis Kennel Club Meetings
We meet the third Monday of each month at 7:30 at Perkins Restaurant at 5112 Park Avenue. Anyone is welcome to attend!
Memphis Kennel Club meets on the third Monday of each month at Perkins Restaurant at 5112 Park Avenue, near the corner of Park and White Station – Perkins Restaurant. We have an implied agreement to make at least a small purchase from their menu while there. Our August meeting is our annual Dog Show. We do not meet in December.
The Memphis Kennel Club is a member of the American Kennel Club and all meetings of the Club are open to members, guests, and the general public. You do not have to own a purebred dog or show dogs to join, we welcome all types of dog owners.
We invite you to join with us in our love of Dogs and the Sport of Dogs. Visit our meetings, which are open to the public, and above all, come to our Dog Shows! There you will find the finest dogs of every breed – and their enthusiastic owners. We love our dogs, and love having fun with our dogs!
Meeting Guest Speakers
Memphis Kennel Club offers monthly meetings with an informational guest speakers centered on a topic of general interest to people who own, breed, train and love dogs. Some topics offered at our meetings over the past year have centered around:
- dog training and handling
- health and medical issues
- coat and skin care
- various canine diets
- canine sports
- understanding dog shows
- human/animal bond
- dog collectibles
